Steven Belcher

Steven F. Belcher, founder and president of Belcher & COMPANY was born and raised in Pascagoula, MS. After graduating from Pascagoula High School in 1979, he attended Florida State University graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  Following his B.S. degree, Steve immediately enrolled in University of Mississippi and in 1985, received his Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration.

The seeds that would eventually become Belcher & COMPANY were planted when Steve entered the insurance business in 1985. After ten years with a major insurance company as a wholesaler of employee benefits, he left his position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing to launch his own insurance and financial services practice, the beginning of Belcher & COMPANY.

With a primary affiliation as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company, Steve holds his Life, Health, and Variable Annuity license.  He is a licensed Registered Representative offering securities through NYLIFE Securities LLC (Member FINRA/SIPC), a registered Broker/Dealer. Steve is also an Investment Advisor Representative with Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor.

Now 27 years into his career as an insurance and investment advisor, Steve focuses on helping small business owners and professionals navigate the financial landscape to plan for a prosperous retirement, as well as guiding them through their retirement years to achieve a secure income that will last as long as they do.  

Civic involvement has always been a priority, a reflection of Steve’s desire to give back to his community.  Steve is a 27-year member of Rotary and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Rotary Club of Fort Myers, the original Rotary Club in southwest Florida, now celebrating its 100^th year in existence!  Steve also serves on the Board of Directors for Valerie’s House, a local non-profit dedicated to providing bereavement services for children that are suffering from the loss of a parent or sibling.

Since 1994, Steve has lived in Fort Myers, Fl with his wife, Lisa.  Their two sons, Zachary and Hunter both live and work just up the state in Tampa, Fl.   Away from the office, Steve enjoys playing golf and the piano. The recent resurgence in vinyl finds him knocking the dust off his collection of LP’s covering a variety of blues, jazz, and of course good ole rock n’ roll!
